AIMIM starts process to select candidates for UP polls: Owaisi to visit UP in June

Lucknow, May 21(UNI)All India Majlis-e-Ittehedual Musalmeen (AIMIM) is all set to contest all the assembly seats in 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
The party has started the process of identifying the candidates. The party is specifically focussing on the muslim dominated assembly constituencies in East and west UP.
"AIMIM has started the process of screening the candidates for the 2017 elections. Against our expectations people in large numbers from all sections of society particularly the muslims, dalits and OBCs disillusioned with the policies and conduct of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party are not only joining the party but keen to contest the assembly election as AIMIM candidate’’,said Shaukat Ali, state president of AIMIM.
