Jaipur: The 44-year-old Ajit Kumar, who is seen as the 'single window' in manipulation of tenders in NRHM-IEC had intended to trap another IAS officers in his net. The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday said that they have got concrete evidences that he had intended to spread corruption in other departments through other officers.
Sethi, an alleged broker in the multicore mining bribery scam that had rocked Rajasthan in September 2015, emerged as 'single-window' system between mine owners and mining officials.
He was arrested along with 8 others in multicore bribery case including Ashok Singhvi, former principal secretary, mining and other mining officials.
Senior officers supervising and investigating the NRHM-IEC corruption case said that Ajit Kumar Soni, who had a full access to the files, tenders and every other things in the NRHM-IEC had intended to gain an access to the other departments.
"Ahead of the collector's conference in Jaipur, he was told by his boss IAS officer Neeraj K Pawan, an accused in the case to organise a lavish party or help organising collector's conference event. Soni sold had intended to go ahead with it to make more IAS his friends. He had told his business partner that if out of nearly 40 IAS officers participating in the event he makes 20 he will get access to other departments," said an senior officer of ACB while quoting the conversation of Soni with his business partner.
Soni had given a car worth Rs 10 to 12 lakh to the IAS officer, a Scooty and had even paid for the air fares. "We have got evidences as to how he had organised almost everything for the officer. In his interrogation so far, he has admitted that he had given a car to the officer which is in the name of his relative," said an officer.
"Every morning he used to drop his daughter to school and later make a regular visit to the Pawan's residence at NRI Colony. He used to get salutes from the guards and other junior officers of NRHM-IEC as he was the boss. He had no right to enter government department but was conniving with officers to spread his network of corruption in the department," the officer added.

(Sleuths of ACB confirmed that they have got evidence in which it is clear that Soni had met a few officers and exchanged their mobile numbers and was deliberately trying to break ice with these officers)
