At least 12 people, including a child, were killed and a man was injured when a small pickup truck veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Badhaon of Kinnaur district on Friday. The vehicle met with the accident on a link road to their village in Bhawanagar, said the police. The vehicle rolled down about 150 meters.
Kinnaur MLA Jagat Singh Negi has expressed grief over the accident.
Bad road conditions and overcrowding are among the major reasons for frequent bus accidents in the hill State.
