Judicial custody for KBC mastermind

Nashik : A local court on Friday remanded KBC scam mastermind, Bhausaheb Chavanand and his wife Aarti in judicial custody, after their 14-day police custody came to an end.
The couple was arrested by the Nashik police on May 6 and produced before the court the following day.
They were in police custody tillThursday.
On Friday the Chavans were given judicial custody, though theNanded police will take them into custody for an economic offence registered against them in the Nanded jurisdiction.
Bhausaheb and Aarti were arrested for their alleged involvement in the Rs 210-crore investment scam, in which over 8, 000 investors lost their money.
Senior officials said that soon after the arrest by theNashik police, their Nanded counterparts had requested the court to get their custody.
Since the police custody was extended on two occasions already, the Nanded police are likely to take the couple into custody only on Saturday.
