Jabalpur: A day after DSP was arrested taking bribe for deleting sections from an FIR in Katni district, Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta has caught a Jabalpur-based government doctor red-handed with cash he sought for alteration in post-mortem report of a foetus.
Accused Dr Sathyendra Singh Chadar, posted at Jabalpur's Patan primary health centre (PHC), was arrested while allegedly accepting Rs 35000 in cash from the complainant, Awdesh Rajput, at his official residence on Friday afternoon.

Rajput had lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta's special police establishment (SPE), alleging that he was implicated in an assault case by Patan police on the basis of false post-mortem report given by Dr Chadar. A 26-year-old woman had lodged a written complaint with the Patan police last month, alleging that she had suffered a miscarriage after being assaulted by Rajput.
Dr Chadar, who conducted the autopsy, had reportedly given a short report to police, claiming that her foetus had skull injuries i.e. making strong evidence against Rajput. The complainant had then approached Lokayukta, claiming that Dr Chadar not only gave a false report to the police but was also demanding Rs 60000 to change it in his favour.
