One Direction's Niall Horan won bragging rights over golfing star Rory McIlroy as Leinster cruised past rivals Ulster to reach this year's Guinness Pro12 final.

The pair were spotted cheering on their teams at the RDS last night as McIlroy took a break from this week's Irish Open.

Westmeath native Horan was sporting a blue Leinster top in support of his province, next to a less-than impressed Co Down native McIlroy.

Leinster defeated their rivals by 30-18.

All eyes will now be on today's semi-final clash at the Sportsground, with Connacht taking on holders Glasgow Warriors.

It could make for an all-Irish final next weekend in Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
