SAMBA, May 20: A youth died after consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Vijaypur late last night.
He has been identified as Lakhvinder Singh son of late Saprol Singh of Mandal Ramgarh in Samba district. He was presently putting up at a rented house in Vijaypur along with his wife.
His body was rushed from Vijaypur to Ramgarh Hospital for treatment. But he was later shifted to Viajaypur Hospital where despite doctors’ efforts he died.
The Vijaypur Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law and started investigation. The cause of taking such an extreme step by the youth was not known.
