Telangana local drowns off Calangute beach

CALANGUTE: A tourist from drowned off Calangute beach on Thursday.
Calangute police said the Candolim primary health centre (PHC), on Thursday, informed them that one person, identified as Nadamidoddi Sangayya, 32, a resident of Telangana, was brought dead to the PHC after drowning off Calangute beach. The incident occurred at around 2pm on the border of Calangute and Candolim.
Sangayya’s body has been preserved at the morgue of the Goa medical college (GMC) and hospital, Bambolim.No foul play is suspected. Calangute police have registered a case of unnatural death under IPC Section 174.
