DDC chairs DLRC meeting at Poonch

The District Development Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik, today chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting review performance under annual action plan.LDM Poonch, Rakesh Sudan, informed the meeting that during the last quarter, Rs 168.49 crore were expended under ACP besides under priority sector there was a disbursement of Rs 66.67 crore while Rs 101.81 crore were disbursed under non priority sector.It was given out that overall 7935 persons were provided loans for carrying out income generating economic activities in the district during the Financial Year 2016-2017. Moreover, 29274 KCC have been issued to the farmers in the district till the end of March 2016.It was informed that under PMJDY, survey has been completed in all 80 SSAs allocated to banks and 100% households having been enrolled for bank accounts. Likewise, 9014 persons were enrolled under PMSBY and 4024 persons were enrolled under PMJJBY.

The DDC was apprised of successful launch of social security pension scheme APY and scheme MUDRA in the district.

It was also informed that 117 awareness camps/FLC have been organized by different banks across the district during the quarter ended March 2016. Besides, awareness camps were also organized in Government ITI to educate ITI trainees about PMMY scheme.The meeting further informed that under the flagship Entrepreneurship Development Schemes being implemented by Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), during the FY 2015-16, about 49 cases were sponsored by JKEDI and 14 cases were sanctioned for loan by J&K bank under Seed Capital Fund Scheme.On the occasion, the DDC said that banks as well line departments need to work pro actively to achieve targets on a timely basis and deficiency, if any, needs to be identified and rectified.Highlighting the healthy prospects of the district, DDC said that there is big scope for production and distribution of sheep, goat milk and their products to neighboring areas, stressing that working to develop these avenues is essential for achieving self sufficiency and overall socio-economic development of the district.The DDC also stressed upon the need of holding regular camps for financial literacy and for awareness creation so that people can be made aware of various schemes and programmes being launched from time to time for employment generation and economic development.  He advised all line departments to work together for achieving the allocated targets under new ACP for the financial year 2016-17.Besides others the meeting was attended by AGM RBI, DDM NABARD, Area Manager JKGB and FLCC.
