Jairam, Kamat ran away from Gujarat after Modi’s roller in Asam: Anandiben

Surat

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel during a function in Surat on Thursday lambasted rival Congress party and said Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Gurudas Kamat ran away from Gujarat cancelling their scheduled events as soon as Narendra Modi’s roller took toll of Congress in Assam. Anandiben also took a dig at Gujarat Congress for failure of its ‘Paani yatra’ programme.

Anandiben:

“You are happy because you have got house, we all are happy because BJP has won Assam with 89 seats. The party has also snatched away 4 seats in Didi’s state where we had no seat. We have opened our account in Kerala. Once we open account it will continue to increase. Percentage wise we have seen 3 fold increase.

“Yesterday Gurudas Kamat and Jairam Ramesh were in Ahmedabad to hold a press conference, and they had announced that they would travel across Gujarat for one week. Today after this results I inquired where are they. I was told that they had left for Delhi. They were here to tour and to plan a victory, but after Narendrabhai’s roller over Congress they ran away from Gujarat. They don’t look good when they speak about corruption. They think they will win, but after today’s victory they are in poor situation. They(Jairam Ramesh and Gurudas Kamat) had come here and had booked hotel too. When I inquired , I was told they ran away from here. Now they will seat with Sonia and Rahul for a week and discuss what to do next.”

“They organized water marches(Paani Yatra). They went to two villages and dropped the yatra programme and later found short cut and simply submitted memorandum to collector. With this type of cadre how they can see dream to winning?”

“They could take something in district panchayat polls and therefore they were thinking that in 2017 we would win. In 14 years of period we have won Talala election for the first time. To achieve something, you need hard work. Party workers reached every house and family and showed confidence under the guidance of Mansukhbhai and Vijaybhai to win Talala. It we can win such tough seat through hard work and strength of organization then who can stop us from winning 2017?”

“In Indian map, 75% color is saffron, as that many of states are ruled by BJP or BJP-led NDA. We wish that ‘Panjo(Congress party symbol)’ is replaced with lotus. Till now they were into baseless talks and allegations and were speaking anything against Narendrabhai. People have given them message that when they point one finger towards someone, three are pointed toward them. They are now in so bad situation that they ask, “what next?”
