Nigeria: Fashanu, Bakam Bag Chieftaincy Titles in Enugu

Ambassadors John Fashanu and Rachel Bakam were in Enugu State a few days after the Fulani herdsmen' attack to empathise with the people where they were formally inducted into the royal family of one of the kingdoms.

They are now prince and princess of Ibagwa Nikeland. While Fashanu is Ofia-Afulu-Agwu 1 of Eze Okwe Kingdom Enugu, meaning lion in the jungle, Bakam is Ugo-Di-Namba 1 of Eze Okwe Kingdom Enugu, meaning Eagle queen from another land, all thanks to HRH Igwe Emma O. Ugwu. The move is furtherance of the Igwe's mission of promoting unity among Nigerians and celebrating key achievements of the people.
