Success of 'Sairat' gets the lead pair Rs 5 crore each!

After the phenomenal success of Marathi movie Sairat, the lead pair Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru, have another brilliant reason to celebrate.

Producer Nitin Keni, CEO-Founder of EsselVision Productions, and co-producer Nikhil Sane decided to award a bonus of Rs 5 crore each to Akash and Rinku, reports Mumbai Mirror.

The word of mouth publicity gave landmark success to Sairat. Made on a shoestring budget of Rs 4 crore, the movie is now the highest grossing Marathi movie of all time with a collection of Rs 60 crore at the box office.

Nitin Keni said, "Yes, we are planning this as a small gesture of goodwill for the cast and it is not only the actors who will be receiving certain amounts of money, but also the extended cast and crew. We are finalising the paperwork, but at the same time are hoping that we do not have to close our accounting books soon, since the shows are still going housefull. Last week, there were three shows of Captain America: Civil War, three of Azhar and eight of Sairat in Mumbai suburbs.

The actors-by-chance signed on for Rs 4 lakh when they began. Both Rinku and Akash come from humble backgrounds. Upon being asked about their plans to spend this huge bonus amount, Akash says he has no idea. Whereas Rinku just wants to go home to Akluj, Solapur and continue with her studies.

The one thing she says she will always remember from Sairat is dancing on 'Zing Zinghat' for three straight days to can the song.
