Hagrama thanks voters, vows to fulfil promises
Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief and president of Bodoland People's Front (BPF) Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday thanked the people of the BTC region for voting for the party candidates once again. He assured them of fulfilling the commitments he has made to the voters.
He said the landslide victory had proved the strength and popularity of BPF in the BTC region.

"Lots of things need to be done in the BTC region for the all-round development of the various communities," Mohilary said and added that he would meet the BJP leaders soon to discuss issues related to the formation of the new government in the state.
Mohilary said the people of BTC region wanted a change in the state and so they had cast their votes for the BPF, BJP and AGP alliance.
Mohilary also said he had high hopes from BJP towards the development of BTC, which was still much lagging in different fields.
The BPF has won 12 seats out of 13 in the BTC region. It, however, lost Gauripur constituency to AIUDF.
The party had won 11 seats in 2006 and 13 in 2011 assembly elections and joined the coalition government in Dispur with the Congress. It broke away from Congress in 2014 and entered into a pre-poll alliance with the BJP.
