Bhopal: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) posted at AJK branch of Katni district in Madhya Pradesh has been arrested on alleged charges of accepting bribe.
The accused Ashok Rana was caught red-handed by Lokayukta's special police establishment. His trouser was seized since he had kept the bribe amount in his pocket.
SPE officials said that Rana was demanding Rs 50,000 from a Congress leader Anil Tiwari for deleting a section from FIR registered against him.
After negotiations, he asked Tiwari to come with Rs 15,000. He has been booked under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
