N.H. GOP women raffle a gun

<?EM-dummyText [Drophead goes here] ?>

The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women tends to put on an interesting event each May. Last year's Lilac Luncheon included an appearance by George Pataki. Past speakers have included Mitt Romney, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush — even Ted Cruz's father.

Perhaps most eye-opening on this year's agenda: a gun raffle.

In fact, it's not the first gun-related GOP event. Back in 2007, the Manchester Republican Committee invited members to a "machine gun shoot," where, for $25, supporters could try out automatic weapons.

At the Lilac Luncheon, participants will be able to buy a $20 raffle ticket that puts them in the running for a North American Arms 22 Magnum mini-revolver — valued at $250 and donated by Advanced Arms of NH.

Heck, you don't even have to be at the event to win, and you can buy raffle tickets online. But hurry: This year's luncheon is Monday.
