Mulund man smashes wife’s head with stone

MUMBAI: A 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly smashing his wife’s head with a stone at their Mulund residence. According to police, the accused, Rajesh Dandwate, killed his wife Kalpana (39) as he suspected her character. The couple resided in Vaishali Nagar in Mulund (west).
“Early in the morning, the accused smashed his wife’s head with a stone when she was asleep.He killed her as he suspected her of having an extra-marital affair,” said a police officer.
Local residents alerted the police, who booked him for murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
