The Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo in River Ranch, Florida has added to their glamping accommodations with the addition of 10 Luxe Teepees. The 651-sq.-ft. teepees can accommodate up to four guests and feature a stone rock hearth fireplace, private en-suite bathrooms with porcelain cast iron claw bathtub and shower, screened private patio deck, leather chairs, king bed, air conditioning and heating. The decor is inspired by a Native American style and each teepee has a distinctive name, such as “Dancing Warrior,” “Roaming Buffalo” and “Soaring Eagle.”
The teepees are located in a new area of the resort called Takoda Village, named after the Native American word “Takoda” or “friend to everyone”. Surrounded by 100-year-old oak trees, the centerpiece of the Takoda Village area is an authentic tribal council pavilion known as a Chickee Hut, which was built by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and is used as a space for gatherings and events.
The Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo is situated on 1,700 acres and surrounded by 400,000 acres of state and federally protected wetlands. Included in a stay at the Luxe Teepees is unlimited access to all of the resort activities, including horseback riding, trap and skeet shooting, access to the adventure park, airboat rides and more.
