After waiting for Fourteen years ,suffering of the people of Kishtwar has finally been ended by active intervention and issuance of final award in the general public interest by Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik Collector Land Acquisition (ACR) Kishtwar when the link road from House of Zahoor Ahmad Mattoo to Zaffar Ali Doolwal was put open for the vehicular movement after the takeoff point was executed today by PWD (R&B) Kishtwar.Dr Malik has personally called the landowners and resolved their disputes amicably which basically paved the way for opening of the road lying in shambles and no hope since a very long period.Xen PWD Mohinder Sen and Dr Malik ACR Kishtwar have set an example by getting two such roads opened in a short span of one year, the other being Asrar Abad to Kuleed road was also entangled in the similar issues since a decade and people were suffering badly.
The public of the area thanked Xen R&B and ACR Kishtwar for keeping up to their expectations and looking at this the public of ward 4 have decided to move a resolution to get the link road from Grid Station to Gurian lower limb connecting about 5000 residents with the national highway and District Hospital opened through the same officers. It is pertinent to mention here that the said road is blocked due to dispute among two highly positioned bureaucrats who have taken whole administration for the task at the cost of lives of more then 5000 people.The public has demanded that a thorough enquiry through a commission should be conducted and the true facts be presented before the Hon'ble courts to avoid any law and order problem in near future.
Meanwhile large number of people were seen happily rejoicing the feeling of being connected and able to ferry their school going children and elderly at will. These people were forced to use a path through narrow nallah for these fourteen years.Dr Malik ACR Kishtwar while elaborating on the issue said that he intends to end the stalemates on other roads also by removing bottlenecks amicably, however he cautioned that some of the vested interests who have harmed the schemes taken up in the public interests shall be taken to the task strictly and has requested the people to desist from such activities.It was also on the intervention of Dr Khalid ACR kishtwar, the execution of most disputed Shivnagar-Sranwaan road started after more then 15 years and more then ten thousand poor population was connected with district HQ Kishtwar after taking a very strict action.Both the communities has appreciated the people friendly actions of Dr Malik since his joining as Collector Land Aquisition Kishtwar.
