A Nashua woman charged in a GoFundMe scam stole and spent the money that was raised to give her friend a proper burial, police said.Krystal Gentley started the GoFundMe page in March to help Guy and Sheila Fauteux of Hudson bring their daughter, Tabathia, home. She was found dead in California.Gentley raised more than $5,000 for Tabathia, a friend of eight years, authorities said. The Fauteuxes said they did not receive any of the money.According to police, Gentley pocketed the donations and spent it on Christmas gifts and gastric bypass surgery.Gentley is charged with theft by deception.

A Nashua woman charged in a GoFundMe scam stole and spent the money that was raised to give her friend a proper burial, police said.

Krystal Gentley started the GoFundMe page in March to help Guy and Sheila Fauteux of Hudson bring their daughter, Tabathia, home. She was found dead in California.
