Two prisoners escaped from civil court premises in Supaul

Supaul, May 19 (UNI) Two prisoners escaped from civil court premises when they were being taken to jail after their production before the court today in connection with cases pending against them.
Deputy Police Superintendent (Sadar) Veena Kumari said the prisoners--Rajendra Pundit and Manish Yadav, both facing more than 30 criminal cases including murder, loot and dacoity, escaped from civil court premises when they were being escorted to prisoners' van after their production in court in connection with pending cases against them.
Raids were being carried to nab both the escaped, Ms Kumari said adding that stringent action would be taken against the policemen deployed for escorting the prisoners.
