Proposal for preparing separate merit list for differently-abled students

Bhopal/Ratlam, MP, May 19 (UNI) A proposal is being mulled over for preparing a separate merit list for differently-abled children in the results of examinations conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
“A proposal for preparing separate merit list for such children from next year is under consideration,” Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi told UNI over telephone.
Ratlam-resident Akshad Pandit, who is visually impaired, secured 69 per cent marks in high school examinations this year while studying along with normal students. He laments that he would have found place in the merit list if a provision existed for making a separate list for differently-abled students.
