About Guruji Krishnananda

Guruji Krishnananda took birth on 18th May 1939, as Lakshminarayana Murthy in Anekal near Bangalore. A Great Light Master himself, Guruji epitomized humility. His emphasis was on removing the distorted understandings of many aspects of life and Spirituality. He released Spirituality from the shackles of parochial interpretations. He encouraged meditators to develop and use their intuition, to have direct contact with the Rishis, experience God firsthand and gain independence.

He met his Guru Maharshi Amara in 1977 and joined him as a fulltime disciple in 1981. He actualized his Guru’s Project – The Sapta Rishis Path through Manasa Foundation – despite numerous trials in 1988. He nurtured the Path into an Institution which provides clear, consistent and one-to-one Spiritual Guidance.

Guruji worked at the Astral and physical levels with Rishis, Shambala* Beings and other Masters. Using his direct contact with the Rishis he has brought down rare and new Spiritual knowledge from the Higher Realms and written several books. He has trained many Spiritual Guides to teach Meditations to seekers.

Working with the Rishis he has anchored the Mahakundalini, the Great Ra, Shambala and Cosmic Energies in Taponagara, a small village near Bangalore. He started the Light Channels World Movement in May 2008, for individual and world peace. Since then more than 27,00,000 have been taught this technique for free.

Guruji Krishnananda brought Light into thousands of lives. He blossomed a smile on shrivelled lips and gave hope when none was in sight. He was, or rather is, Divine Love personified. In his simple and soft voice he communicated the timeless Wisdom of the eternal Rishis and yet maintained humility at all times. He set up the Sapta Rishis Path from nothing, with only his Guru Maharshi Amara’s Vision and support. Through Guruji we met all the Great Rishis and experienced God’s Divine Love. He brought Spirituality out of the confines of secluded Ashramas and lofty Himalayas; he removed the pseudo gap between the Spiritual and the everyday Material life. Free from rhetoric and dry philosophical jargon his teachings had brevity.

He gave us the correct definition of being Spiritual – to be simple, good and honest. His teachings were pragmatic, not theoretical. He also taught that humility does not mean allowing exploitation, that being assertive does not amount to aggression.

Reluctant to be called a Rishi he preferred to be addressed as Guruji. Those who knew him knew all too well that he was much more than a Maharshi. Over many lifetimes he carried forward his Guru’s Mission and succeeded. On Guruji’s 77th Birth Anniversary, this book gives a tiny sample of the Spiritual heights some of his students reached.

Guruji’s Guidance continues to be received by his students, and under the directions of Mr. Jayant Deshpande, Spiritual Head and Director of Manasa Foundation, The Sapta Rishis Path continues to work towards establishing the Light Age.

* Shambala is a city of Light where only Spiritually advanced beings live in peace and harmony for eternity.
