J.R. Smith shows off T-shirt with Cavaliers' mascot Lil Kev on it

A while ago, Richard Jefferson began driving around with a cutout of a face that looked sort of like Kevin Love. He called it Lil Kev and would Snapchat their adventures. ESPN’s Dave McMenamin asked Jefferson and the Cavs about it and found out it’s a Tommy Bahama ad ripped out from a magazine, and they use it as a “mascot” because it’s hilarious.

After the ESPN story ran, suddenly Lil Kev had his own verified Instagram account. And now, he even has his own T-shirts. Lil Kev T-shirts are here. J.R. Smith debuted it on Instagram on Wednesday — the night before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Notice the “thanks to my guy @officiallilkev for the shirt.”

There are Lil Kev masks too that Jefferson recorded on Snapchat (rjeff24) on Tuesday.

Lil Kev has quickly become a key to the Cavs success.
