Holy Trinity Church accessible to civilians: Army

May 19, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - Hyderabad:

The Army has denied restricting civilians from going to Holy Trinity Church, Bolaram.

The church is connected to Rajiv Rahadari Road which is 150 metres away and this has been, “consciously and considerately left open by the Army to act as a passage for churchgoers”, a clarification read. The Army has not acted in any manner which may contribute to reducing the congregation visiting the church, it clarified.

The churchgoers living in Alwal and Lothkunta have direct approach from the highway. Those coming from Kowkoor have access via Kowkoor Road to the Highway at Hakimpet crossing and then to the church. From A.S. Rao Nagar and Medchal one can use either the Kowkoor axis or travel via the Ammuguda junction to reach Lothkunta to further reach the church, the clarification read.
