Ahmedabad: As casualties from heat-related emergencies surge in the state, Dharmendra Tadvi (49), a bus conductor with Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), survived a severe heatstroke. "Tadvi was admitted to VS Hospital five days ago, unconsious, with a 107-degree body temperature. With continuous drips and ice-packs on his groin, underarm and neck areas, he survived," said Sandip Malhan, superintendent of VS hospital.
