40-year-old man commits suicide
Nagpur: Naresh Konge, 40, who consumed powdered poison mixed in liquor at his residence at Vihirgaon near Umred Road a day earlier, was declared dead at the Metro City Hospital in Sakkardara late on Wednesday. Doctors informed Hudkeshwar police, who registered a case of accidental death.
Police said that Naresh was addicted to liquor and had fought with his wife Manisha over a phone call. Both had heated exchange of words and in a fit of anger, Naresh left home threatening to end life.
When he returned home, he was in an inebriated condition. Manisha saw Naresh mixing some substance with liquor and tried to stop him. But the husband pushed her away and drank the mixture. Soon his condition deteriorated and with the help of others, Manisha took Naresh to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on Wednesday. Hudkeshwar cops are probing further.
