No trust motion against Goa Dairy’s chairman rejected
Ponda: A no-trust motion moved against Goa Dairy’s chairman Baburao Fatto Desai by nine members, among 12, was rejected by the presiding officer on Wednesday.
The opponent group claimed that they were mulling on challenging the decision; however, there was no decision taken in this regard until late Wednesday.
A group of nine members including Madhav Sahakari, Vithoba Desai, Shrikant Naik, Dhananjay Desai, Gurudas Parab, Rajendra Sawal, Ulhas Sinari, Naresh Malik, and Shivanand Pednekar had issued a notice of the no-trust motion during the first week of May.

Following the notice, registrar of the cooperative societies had convened a special meeting on Wednesday to discuss and vote on the motion. At the beginning of the meeting, Fatto Desai pleaded that a chairman cannot be ousted with a no-trust-motion before completing two years in office. Presiding officer Anil Desai, assistant registrar of cooperative societies rejected the motion. Fatto Desai, chairman of the Cacora cooperative dairy society in Cacora, was elected as chairman of the Goa Dairy on October 15, 2015.
