Sara Ali Khan graduates from Columbia University and is set to star in SOTY 2

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara looked absolutely overjoyed as she graduated from college, Tuesday, although father Saif Ali Khan was not present.

The 22-year-old donned a blue gown and cap as she finished her graduation at Columbia University.

Proud mother Amrita Singh happily posed for pictures with her daughter.

The convocation ceremony also marks Sara Ali Khan's foray into movies as she starts preparing for her debut in Student Of The Year sequel. While Punit Malhotra is directing the film, producer Karan Johar is set to mentor the principle cast that will feature two more newcomers.

Amrita Singh's best friend designer Sandeep Khosla sent out a congratulatory message to the mother and daughter duo who are currently in New York. Interestingly, Sara's first fashion shoot was for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla's book India Fantastique.
