NAGPUR: Arya Anchalwar notched up a triple crown, while Sourabh Kerhalkar, Gaurav Mithe, Malvika Bansod, Livia Fernandez and Arav Fernandez bagged twin titles on the fifth and final day of the Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Sub-Junior and Junior Badminton tournament, organized by the Dhanwate National College in association with the Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA), at the DNC Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

The tall shuttler added two doubles titles to complete a hat-trick. Arya and Livia rallied back superbly to brush aside the challenge of young Aditi Sadhankar- Nikkita Joseph 19-21, 21-12, 21-18 in the U-15 girls doubles. In the U-17 doubles summit clash, Arya and Livia surprised top seeds Pavitra Somani and Sanika Durugkar in straight games.
Sourabh Kerhalkar swept the U-19 boys singles and doubles titles with ease. Sourabh's practice partners at the Badminton Life Club Gaurav Mithe and Rohan Gurabani also grabbed double crown.
Gaurav and Rohan outclassed Divij Shah and Gandhar Nawale 21-16, 21-14 in the U-17 doubles final.
Malvika was unstoppable in the two events - U-17 and U-19 singles - she took part. In-form southpaw stopped the giant-killing run of Shruti Chokhandre in the U-19 final. Malvika dismissed Livia in the final match of the tourney.
In the U-15 boys' final, Sifat Arora made the short work of Kirtesh Chaudhari.
NIT chief engineer Sunil Gujjalwar, NDBA president Kunda Vijaykar, DNC principal Baban Taywade and NDBA joint secretary Naresh Chafekar distributed the prizes.
