Two new members of Lokayukta take oath in Bihar

Justice (Retd) Mihir Kumar Jha and retired IAS officer K C Saha on Wednesday took oath as new members of the institution of Lokayukta in Bihar. Unlike other states, the Lokayukta is a three-member body in Bihar.

PATNA: Justice (Retd) Mihir Kumar Jha and retired IAS officer K C Saha on Wednesday took oath as new members of the institution of Lokayukta in Bihar. Unlike other states, the Lokayukta is a three-member body in Bihar.
Governor Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath to Jha and Saha as member (judicial) and member, respectively at a function at the Raj Bhavan here.
Justice C M Prasad is the chairperson of the Lokayukta institution. In Bihar, the CM and all other members of the council of ministers come under the purview of inquiry by the Lokayukta.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar, deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Bihar Legislative Council chairperson Awadhesh Narain Singh, the leader of opposition in the council Sushil Kumar Modi, incumbent Lokayukta C M Prasad and several other dignitaries attended the oath-taking ceremony.
