Minister to visit SSLC topper's on May 19
BENGALURU: Primary and secondary education minister Kimmane Ratnakar will visit the house of Ranjan BS who has set a record by scoring 625 out of 625 marks in this year's SSLC examinations.
Ranjan, who will be felicitated at his Bhadravathi residence by the minister on Thursday afternoon, will also receive a laptop from the state government.
Sources said there's a demand from students to publish Ranjan's answerscripts in all schools to motivate others.

"I am visiting his house because none had done such a great achievement in the history of SSLC examinations. I will discuss the matter of publishing his answerscripts with the officials concerned and take a final call," Ratnakar told TOI.
A senior official in the education department said as per the rules, a student's answerscripts cannot be made public.
