Sumo and Xylo drivers of District Kupwara Wednesday protested against the shifting of their stand to new stand.While chanting slogans against the administration, the drivers staged sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office and blocked the Kupwara-Srinagar road for hours to makr their protest against the administration.The protesting drivers were demanding not to shift their stand to new stand.The commuters had to face tremendous hardships when the drivers blocked the road.

According to KNS correspondent, Waseem Majnoon Mir, hundreds of employees, commuters, including students, were stranded after drivers blocked Kupwara-Srinagar road at the main town Kupwara.Pertinently, to prevent traffic mess in the town, the district administration asked the protesting drivers to shift to the new stand at Rigipora.
