Karnataka: SSLC topper Ranjan turned no face to tuitions, yet scripts history

Bengaluru/Shimoga, May 18: Turning no face to tuition or coaching classes, B S Ranjan, SSLC lad from Bhadravati Taluk, scripted history scoring 625/625 in the recently concluded examination.

Ranjan who pursued his 10th schooling in Poorna Prajna Education Centre in Bhadravati says he finds living in village no bane or barrier to excel the test and reach many milestones of achievements. B S Ranjan spoke to OneIndia amidst scribing on him by the scribes were at its best.

"Above expected is my result. I thought, I will lose 4 marks to make the tally 621," Ranjan says. He is quick to convey that he was astonished to learn he topped the state in SSLC scoring out of out. Ranjan loves Sanskrit apart from his regular passion to pursue science.

PCMB will be my combination. Ranjan is firm on choosing the subject for the PUC. However in the long run, he wants to throw his hat on the medical field. "I love medical field, it is interesting. This is the only reason, why I want study MBBS," responds Ranjan for a question on aspire to be.

Ranjan, each day allocated at least five hours for study. He says, he studied both by loving the subjects he read and working hard to score good marks. Ranjan added, many opine that it is hard to score marks of this level hailing from small town or remote village. But it's a wrong notion to think on that line as hard work and passion sees no hurdles in realising the dream.

Ranjan further continued saying, he did not find necessity of tuition or coaching classes to master the subjects. "I enjoyed good support from my school. Most of the time I myself clarified doubts encountered during the reading." All Ranjan needed was books to be on his table to read thoroughly ahead of examination, to which his parents fulfilled his wishes.

Ranjan's father B S Shankarnarayan says he and his family were surprised by the accomplishment of his Son. "We thought, he would come topper in the school. But topper in the state.... All credit to goes to Ranjan," Shankar said in rejoicing mood.
