DAV Dwarka goes green

Sanjeevani, the Environment Club of DAV Dwarka celebrated Earth Day to promote love for environment among students and also to sensitise them towards the need to conserve environment.

Keeping this objective in view, a plethora of activities were organised for the students of classes III to X.

Students of class III prepared an indoor meadow. Activity ‘Tree of Life’ was held for classes IV and V in which each student made a cutout of any design of a leaf and wrote a message on the theme –Save Earth and pasted that leaf on the dry branch of a tree provided to them.

Students of classes VI and VII prepared herb planters using empty pet bottles. Class VIII students made attractive placards carrying messages to save plants.

Terrariums were created by the students of class IX. Class X students made banners on various environmental concerns like global warming, deforestation etc. A special

assembly was also organized to mark the conclusion of the Earth Day celebrations.

Principal Monika Mehan applauded the efforts of the green warriors of the school and

encouraged them to work for the protection of the environment.
