Need to save the planet

Mount Carmel school, Dwarka, celebrated Earth Day to create awareness about the need to save the planet and acknowledge bounty of the Creator. Chief Guest was Dr. Muhammad Shah Hussain, Head of the Aravalli Bio-diversity Park in Delhi. The events included a skit by senior students on the relevance of maintaining cleanliness, a fashion show of eco-friendly costumes by the juniors as well as music and dance performances on the relevance of pursuing sustainable development.

A bottle sapling activity (Junior Wing) was organised to counter the effects of pollution and global warming. An earthquake evacuation drill was also organised where students were oriented

about the evacuation program in the morning assembly in which they were instructed about relevant techniques and strategies as risk reduction measures.
