Three booked for drowning two youths in Palitana

Rajkot: Three persons have been booked for allegedly drowning two cousin brothers in Shetrunji dam over old animosity with their family members in Palitana town of Bhavnagar district on Tuesday.
Family members of the deceased - Kuldeep Kotila (21) and Pradeep Vala (19) - on Tuesday lodged complaint against Jayubhai Rathod, Raju Rathod and Kanaiya Narsang.They have accused the trio of murder and criminal conspiracy.
"Kudeep and Pradeep were found drowned in Shetrunji dam on Monday. Their family members alleged the cousins were drowned by the accused over an old animosity," said R B Vihol, investigating officer, Palitana police station.
"We have lodged a complaint of murder against accused and after they are held the entire sequence of events will be unfolded," he added. Police said the accused had called Kuldeep and Pradeep on Sunday for compromise after a scuffle on Saturday last and then allegedly drowned them.
