In continuation of its “fortnightly cleanliness drive” as per the Union government’s directive, the Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers organised its 14th cleanliness drive on Saturday outside the factory premises between 7.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. More than 400 staff and contract workers cleaned the surroundings of the factory. The next day, the company undertook the drive at Tannirbhavi Beach, cleaning the beachfront. In the previous week, Marakada Govern- ment School and MCF Township were cleaned.
