Hamptons bids a sad farewell to Cyril’s

Hamptons hangout Cyril’s Fish House is closed.

Last week owner Cyril Fitzsimons was found guilty of 45 misdemeanors, most relating to zoning codes, in Cyril’s trial with the Town of East Hampton.

Landlords and co-defendants Michael Dioguardi, Debra Laikind Dioguardi and Robert Dioguardi settled, agreeing to pay $60,000 and to remove structures including a front awning under which was served Cyril’s famed “Banana Bailey Colada” cocktail.

Fitzsimons’ lawyer, John T. Powers Jr., told us the relationship between Fitzsimons and the Dioguardis was “contentious.” “The landlord misstepped . . . and now he’s seeking Cyril to bail him out.”

Fitzsimons is selling his things in a yard sale May 28.
