CALIFORNIA: Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook who became the world’s youngest billionaire when he was 23 in year 2008, has turned 32 years old today. According to the world’s rich list 2016, Mark is on the 6th number of richest people globally with a net worth of $44.6 billion. On this special day of his birthday, we have brought you some hidden and interesting facts about him. The reason behind the blue coloured theme of Facebook is Mark’s red/green color blindness. So, he can mostly see blue only. In order to communicate with his girlfriend (now wife) Priscilla’s family, Mark learned Chinese language back in 2010. Mark considers himself atheist while he was born in a Jewish family. He dropped out of Harvard University to devote himself full-time to Facebook. He doesn’t own a TV in his house, as reported. During his college days he designed a programme named Facemash that could find out who is the most attractive person in the campus. The domain was sold for $30,201 later in 2010. Following the recession that began in year 2008, Mark wore a tie throughout the year every day until 2008 to show how serious the situation was. Microsoft and AOL tried to hire him when he was in high school just when he had designed Synapse, a programme that used artificial intelligence to learn users’ music-listening habits. Mark turned vegetarian in 2011 and stated that he would only eat the meat of animals that he killed himself. He also designed the wedding ring for his wife Priscilla Chan. It is a ruby with two diamonds, one on either side. Mark, at the age of 13 had already created a basic computer network for his family, dubbed “Zucknet”, which allowed the computers in the family and his father’s dental office to send messages to each other through pinging. Mark Zuckerberg owns almost 50 patents to his name. Zuckerberg is involved in several legal battles: He was a billionaire at the age of 23 and he has been accused of intellectual theft, profanity and failure to uphold a contract. His longest-running legal battle was with twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who claimed Zuckerberg had stolen their idea for Facebook. He has a Hungarian sheepdog named Beast, which has a Facebook page with over two million fans. The Time magazine, since 2010, has named Zuckerberg among the 100 wealthiest and most influential people in the world as a part of its Person of the Year distinction. And, in 2011, Zuckerberg ranked first on the list of the “Most Influential Jews in the World” by The Jerusalem Post.
