Theo Walcott will have showdown talks about his future - but Arsene Wenger will make it clear he is not for sale.

Arsenal boss Wenger is planning a shake-up of his squad this summer but Mirror Sport understands pacy forward Walcott remains firmly in his plans.

The Gunners may entertain offers for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs, while Alexis Sanchez’s long-term future at the club is also far from certain.

But Arsenal’s determination to keep Walcott has only been increased by the long-term injury to fellow frontman Danny Welbeck , who has been ruled out for nine months.

Arsenal forward Walcott has missed out on a place in England’s squad for the Euros this summer after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates.

That has led to doubts about his future as the 27-year-old is desperate to be playing regularly, having started the campaign in brilliant form as a central striker.

But Walcott and his advisers will have talks with Arsenal’s hierarchy, which are also likely to include Wenger, and look for reassurances. Otherwise, he will make it clear he fears his future could be elsewhere.

Elsewhere, there could be interest from Southampton and Manchester City in England midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain , while Three Lions left-back Gibbs is also likely to attract interest after losing his place in the team to Nacho Monreal.

Sanchez, who has grown frustrated this season, has two years left on his current deal.

Arsenal have looked to extend it, but nothing has been agreed let alone signed — unlike with Mesut Ozil, who is close to putting pen to paper despite making some guarded public statements.
