POKHARA: An American tourist was injured after he fell into the local lake while clicking photographs at Annapurna Base Camp on Monday evening.

Without a guide and porter, Rojer, 27, had trekked to the Base Camp on Monday.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project Ghandruk tourism assistant Ananda  Subedi said the tourist was injured after he fell while taking  photographs.

Subedi said locals and tourism entrepreneurs rescued the  tourist immediately.
