CHANDIGARH: Palwal MLA Karan Singh Dalal today demanded an inquiry into the formation of the Karnal Vikas Nidhi, an “independent registered trust committed to holistic development of Karnal district”, and collection of funds by it.

Palwal MLA Karan Singh Dalal today demanded an inquiry into the formation of the Karnal Vikas Nidhi, an “independent registered trust committed to holistic development of Karnal district”, and collection of funds by it. In a representation to the governor, Dalal alleged, “Such organisations were presumed to be a body for collecting money from the influential and affluent persons in the name of the development of the area.” —TNS
