Two bodies found in Patna district
Patna: Two unidentified bodies were found from separate places in the district on Tuesday. Their hands and legs were tied and acid was poured on their faces to conceal their identity. The body of a woman in her 30s was found near Zero Mile bypass at Satichak under Fatuha police station area. The salwar-kameez clad body was first located by cattle grazers in the morning.
“Her hands were tied with ropes. Her face was burned, probably by acid,” said Gautam, a villager.
The mutilated body of a man was found at Chhattis Pulwa near Punpun railway halt under Punpun police station area. The man, aged around 45 years, was found by villagers around 9am. “His hands and legs were tied with ropes and a piece of cloth was stuffed into his mouth. The upper portion of his body, including his face, was burned with acid,” said Rocky, a local.
Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj said, “Prima facie both the murders took place somewhere else and their bodies were dumped at two different locations. We cannot rule out connection between the two murders. The bodies were sent for postmortem. We can comment only after receiving the postmortem report whether it was an acid burn or not.”
An FSL team and a dog squad were pressed into action in the area.
