Like Lionel Messi, Shoaib Malik hunts for little fan

Pakistan cricketer expresses desire to meet the kid who flaunted a jersey with his name written on it.

Mumbai: Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik is looking for his ‘plastic shirt boy’. The Afghan boy, Murtaza – who became a household name after being photographed donning a temporary Lionel Messi jersey made out of a plastic bag – seems to be spreading his charm to Pakistan.

Murtaza had received an original, autographed jersey from Messi.

Malik’s fan did not wear a makeshift jersey but the photograph has “Shoaib Malik” written with pen on the jersey which touched the cricketer’s heart.

But the number of the jersey is 10, used by former T20 skipper Shahid Afridi.

“I need to find this kid to give him my kit shirt one day,” said Malik.

Who can help Malik find his fan?
