UDHAMPUR, May 16: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was knocked to death by a speeding truck at Battal Morh in Majalta, here today.
The deceased SPO was identified as Parshotam Singh, son of Falail Singh of Darsoo, Udhampur. He was hit by truck, bearing registration number PB35Q-1099, when he was on duty at Check Post Battal Morh Udhampur. The injured SPO was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where he succumbed to his injuries.
The truck driver fled the spot while Majalta Police has registered the case in this connection.
