BJP leader Jasbir Malaur joins Congress

Ambala, May 16 (UNI) Former INLD MLA and BJP stateexecutive member Jasbir Malaur today joined the Congress party at the residence of Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja in Ambala Cantonment today.
Malaur who earned the reputation of a defectionist and continued changing parties under impulse of over ambition. Malaur after being denied the ticket of his party INLD for the second time, quit the party and joined Shiromani Akali Dal to get his wife fight election as Akali candidate. After defeat of his wife, he joined the BJP in hope of getting ticket and started encouraging factionalism in the party.
He was denied ticket in the last general election and worked against the official party candidate Aseem Goel from Ambala City and also Ambala Cantt MLA and Health Minister Anil Vij. Instead he extended support to Congress candidate Nirmal Singh whom he had defeated as INLD candidate. But he was shown the door due to anti party activities in INLD. After he joined the BJP he remained isolated due to his acts of indulging in groupism and did not get any position in the party.
