Sky Bet League One side Peterborough have made Hayden White their first signing of the summer.

The 21-year-old defender has signed a two-year contract and was a free agent after leaving Bolton at the end of the season.

White spent the later part of the season on loan with Blackpool, who have recently been relegated to League Two, but started his career with Sheffield Wednesday before joining Bolton in 2013.

Speaking to Posh's official website, White said: "I know what Peterborough are all about in terms of their style of play and that suits me down to the ground.

"I saw in the game recently just how good they are, the players are all fighting for one another and I am really happy to be here.

"It is good to get everything sorted before the summer and I can look forward to pre-season now. There are some good players at the club and I am excited to get started."

New manager Grant McCann said: "Hayden is someone that I believe will bring us good competition at right-back.

"He is an attack-minded individual very much in the mould of Mark Little and I am pleased to have him on board so early."
