GeneSupport launches polycystic ovarian syndrome management programme
WB minister for correctional administration H A Safwi on Friday said that medical facilities prevailing in the various correctional homes in the state were not up to the mark and needed improvement.
PUNE: GeneSupport in association with Pearl Women's Hospital has launched a Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Support Club in Pune. Pune-based GeneOmbio Technologies, a leader in genomics research along with Resilient Cosmeceuticals Pvt. Ltd, Pune has introduced nutrigenomics in India through its brand GeneSupport. The association will concentrate on spreading awareness about PCOS and its co-relation with genes.

Elaborating on the need for nutrigenomics and association with Pearl Women's Hospital, Amol Raut, chief executive officer, GeneSupport said, "Today, due to an increasingly stressful lifestyle, women are facing a lot of health issues. PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is one of the health issues which is directly or indirectly associated with many other health problems in women. The purpose of this association is not only to engage with the consumers but also to include the experts in PCOS who play an important role and also forms an integral part in building a healthy lifestyle."

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition in which a woman's hormones are out of balance and results in ovulation disorder.
