Given that Bollywood has a fascination to repeat successful combinations, we her that after the success of 'Kapoor & Sons (Since 1921)', Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will team up yet again. Already, they are reported to pair up for 'Aashiqui 3' next. However, in their fourth outing together, they won't romance each other, but instead they will play antagonists.
Never mind if the two, who were said to be a couple for a while, have now reportedly broken up. According to industry sources, Sid and Alia have been roped in for Abhay Chopra's (son of late filmmaker Ravi Chopra) directorial debut, remake of 'Ittefaq', which stared Rajesh Khanna and Nanda. The 1969 psychological thriller was produced by Abhay's grandfather BR Chopra and directed by his uncle Yash Chopra.
Interestingly, 'Ittefaq' was inspired from the British film, 'Signpost To Murder' (1964), starring Joanne Woodward.
Sources further tell us that Abhay has been working on the script for a while, in keeping with present times and has also turned around the climax. This film is being produced by his brother Kapil along with Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.
