Charging the director of Arnav Edifices Private Limited with having acquired lands of the National Highway Authority of India at Avakhandam village in Anakapalle fraudulently, former Minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao demanded a CBI probe into the issue.

Addressing media at Anakapalle on Sunday, the former Minister charged the director of the private company with having used his position as director in Heritage Foods to pressure officials to regularise the irregularities. There were irregularities even in the agreement between the Arnav Edifices and the President of India to alienate the lands of the NHAI. There is no date on the document, he pointed out, furnishing a copy of the agreement. He said only a CBI probe would reveal the extent of involvement of the officials of the National Highways Authority in the issue, he said.
